Purpose and data flow
Alma Calma is a remote control for a user-operated Alma Calma Master on the local network. No manufacturer user account is required. The Store app contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services. Pitius Tec S.L. does not automatically receive a copy of pairing, music or room data from the app.
Camera and pairing
The optional camera scans pairing QR codes locally using CameraX and ZXing. The app neither saves nor uploads camera images. You can paste the pairing link instead. The Master address, device identifier and access token are stored on the phone using AES-GCM encryption with a key held in Android Keystore. App backup and device transfer of these data are disabled.
Local network and music
The app discovers local Masters through DNS-SD/mDNS and exchanges the access token, commands, search terms and status with the selected Master. This includes device names/identifiers and local addresses, room volume and power state, favourites, station/title information and the Master’s USB file names/paths. These data leave the phone even when they stay on your own network. This serves the requested device functionality. Favourites are managed on the Master. The app does not read the phone’s private music library or record sound. Internet radio, station searches and streaming are performed by the Master; radio-directory and stream providers may receive its Internet address and information needed for requests. Those providers have their own privacy notices.
Security and demo
The current Master API uses HTTP on the local network, not TLS. Transport is therefore not encrypted end-to-end. Use a trusted Wi-Fi network and do not expose the Master port or pairing token on the Internet. The demo uses fictitious data in memory only. It stops real connections, sends no device commands, plays no audio and does not replace saved pairing credentials.
Retention and deletion
Pairing remains on the phone until you delete it in app settings, clear app data or uninstall. Deleting pairing on the phone does not revoke the token on the Master; access can be revoked separately on the Master. Appearance settings remain local until app data are cleared. Status and demo changes are held in memory. Data stored on the Master, such as favourites or known devices, must be deleted there when required.
Legal bases, recipients and support
Where personal data are processed for requested device/support services, the basis is performance of a contract or pre-contractual request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)); necessary operational security and general enquiries rely on legitimate interests (f). Legally required retention relies on (c). The app does not send local operational data to a manufacturer cloud server. If you email us voluntarily, we receive your address and message; relevant email/IT providers may process them to handle your request. We retain enquiries only as needed to respond and, where applicable, meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. The app makes no automated decisions with legal effects and performs no advertising profiling. Google Play processes installation, updates and possible diagnostics independently under Google’s terms. External websites are governed by their respective providers.
Your rights
For personal data we process, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and, where applicable, portability. You may object on grounds relating to your situation to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact info@tecno-world.com. Any consent given may be withdrawn for the future. You may complain to a supervisory authority, particularly the Spanish Data Protection Agency: https://www.aepd.es. We have no central access to data stored only locally; you can use the deletion controls described above.
